Young Lands in Big East

Brandon Young, a point guard from the nation's capitol, has pulled the trigger on his college decision. Learn where the Class of 2010 guard plans to sign in this report.

Brandon Young, the 29th ranked point guard in the nation according to Scout.com, plans to take his game to the Big East next season. Young verbally committed to DePaul coach Jerry Wainwright to play for the Blue Demons.

The 6-3, 175 lb. guard from Edison-Friendship school in Washington, D.C., chose DePaul over Marquette, Massachusetts, and South Florida. He had recently completed an official visit to UMass and participated in Marquette's elite camp this month.

Young has said that he prefers an unselfish, uptempo style. "My style of play is to get up and down the court, play defense, and make sure my teammates see the ball before I see the ball."

Brandon spent his summers playing for Team Takeover D.C. for coach Keith Stevens. "He's very smooth, has great court savvy, good handle and can get to the rim," Stevens said. "He can extend the ball and push the ball in transition."

"He's a great kid," said Keith. "He has a great work ethic."
