Key Information DePaul Blue Demons vs. Cincinnati Bearcats - Thursday, March 6th, 6:30 p.m.(Central) – Cincinnati, Ohio Internet Video – ESPN 360 Radio – WSCR AM 670 Internet Radio Links to Listen Live - WSCR Radio WeAreDePaul.com Chat Room Link Chat Room UC Athletics UC Athletics UC Fans Site Bearcat Insider Game Preview The Cincinnati Bearcats (13-15, 8-8) are coming off a stinging 81-79 overtime home loss to the Providence Friars on Sunday. Senior forward John Williamson led the Bearcats with 19 points. Freshman guard Larry Davis scored a career high of 16. The Bearcats have been led by a two pronged attack this season. Sophomore point guard Deonta Vaughn is leading UC in scoring at 17.3 points per game. Williamson is the only other double digit scorer with 11.5 ppg. Teams have proven that you can beat the Bearcats by limiting one of those two. Williamson is a force inside for the Bearcats. A familiar refrain this season for DePaul has been their lack of ability to defend the interior. The Demons will need to find a way to limit Williamson’s touches and keep him out of the paint in order to have a chance. On the perimeter they will have to find a way to contain Vaughn, who is shooting 40.5% from behind the arc. Vaughn is just 16 points away from reaching the milestone of 500 points on the season. The Blue Demons are coming off a loss to Notre Dame where both freshman Mac Koshwal and Darquavis Tucker recorded career highs in scoring. The Blue Demons need to pick up where they left off and let the young fellas show what they can do in this game as they try to stay in the hunt for the final spot in the Big East tournament next week in New York at Madison Square Garden. The Last Time On February 24, 2007, the Blue Demons defeated the Bearcats 58-45 at Rosemont’s Allstate Arena. Wilson Chandler led DePaul with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds. Junior guard Draelon Burns chipped in with 11 points. John Williamson led the way for UC with a game-high 16 points.
