Quigley was joined on the Academic All-District first team by Laura Rudolphi of Indiana State, Lori Bjork of Illinois and Minnesota’s Leslie Knight and Emily Fox. District V consists of schools from the states of Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, and Ontario and Manitoba in Canada. The senior guard holds a 3.72 grade-point average and is a Physical Education major at DePaul. A year ago, she also earned first team Academic All-District honors after being named to the District V second team as a sophomore. As a team, DePaul stands as the nation’s only program to play in the last two NCAA Tournaments and finish the season ranked in the WBCA Academic Top 25. Quigley leads DePaul with 18.9 points per game and 90 assists while reaching double-figures in all 22 games. The Naismith Trophy mid-season finalist has a 32-game streak dating back to last season of scoring in double-figures and is the BIG EAST’s active all-time leading scorer with 1,874 career points. On Tuesday at USF, she scored a season-high 36 points for her second 30-point game this season. DePaul hosts Louisville this weekend for a Sunday afternoon game at the McGrath Arena. Tipoff is set for 3:40 p.m. on ESPN2 as part of ESPN’s “February Frenzy.” Sunday’s game is also “Think Pink Day” with DePaul joining the WBCA to promote breast cancer awareness with t-shirts for all fans and opportunities to donate to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer fund.
