CHICAGO - DePaul has dismissed sophomore forward Thijin Moses from the basketball program and released him from his scholarship after violations of team rules and university policies, it was announced by Blue Demon head coach Jerry Wainwright today.

"We appreciate Thijin's efforts here at DePaul," Wainwright said. "We wish him well as he continues his pursuit of a college degree and collegiate basketball career. There will be no further comment on this matter."

The 6-8, 175-pound sophomore from Chicago had not played in a game this season after being suspended for violations of team policy in October. Moses played in 19 games as a freshman last season and averaged 1.2 points per outing while going 7-for-16 from three-point range.
