Andre Brown in Atlanta Hawks Camp

Former DePaul Blue Demon Andre Brown is pursuing his dream of playing in the NBA. The 6-9 245 lb. power forward is currently in the Atlanta Hawks training camp trying out for one of two open spots on the Hawks roster.

Brown is vying for a spot on the team along with Cedric Bozeman, Lionel Chalmers, Kaniel Dickens, Matt Freije, and center Andreas Glyniadakis.

Andre spent last season in Seoul, South Korea playing for the Daegu Orions of the Korean Basketball League.

Brown is one of only eight players in DePaul's school history to have 1,000 points and 800 rebounds in a career. He finished his career ranked fourth in Conference USA history with 855 rebounds. Brown ranks eighth in DePaul basketball history in rebounds

In his senior season in 2003-04, Brown averaged 13.5 points and 9.2 rebounds while shooting .570 (122-214) from the floor. He was named second team All-Conference USA and was twice honored as the C-USA Player of the week. Recommended Stories
