DePaul's Young Prepares for Sophomore Season

DePaul sophomore point guard Brandon Young was named to the Big East conference All-Rookie team in March in recognition of a sparkling freshman season for the Blue Demons. We take a look at Young's game in this report.

Brandon Young arrived at DePaul as an acclaimed point guard out of Baltimore last season. Young immediately grabbed the starting point guard position and started all 31 games for the Blue Demons.

Young quickly became DePaul's second leading scorer. As a freshman, Young averaged 12.6 points and 3.7 assists per game while logging 30.4 minutes per game.

Twice Young was named the Big East Rookie of the Week. Brandon led all Big East rookies in assists per game last year.

On DePaul's recent European tour, Young faced professional teams from France and Monaco. Young was the Blue Demons third leading scorer on the trip. Brandon averaged 15 ppg and 4.75 assists per game for the Blue Demons while overseas.
