DePaul’s McKinney Bounces Back From Injury

Posted Aug 29, 2011

DePaul freshman Charles McKinney bounced back quickly from a knee injury to return to the lineup in time for the Blue Demons final two games of their foreign tour.

Charles McKinney, a 6-4 wing from Maine East by way of Quality Education Academy, in North Carolina, sat out the first two games of DePaul’s foreign tour with a slight tear of the patella tendon.

McKinney quickly returned from that knee injury to see action in the Blue Demons final two games in France and Monaco.

The Blue Demons finished 4-0 on the tour. McKinney managed to stand out in the final game, an 80-70 win over AS Monaco. Charles scored seven points, dished out five assists, and came up with three steals.
