DePaul Freshman Moses Morgan in Action

Wednesday is the official start of the Fall Quarter on DePaul's Lincoln Park campus. Most freshmen will fumble around as they try to learn their way to classes for the first time, but DePaul's Moses Morgan isn't a typical freshman.

Moses Morgan has spent the entire summer on campus in Chicago attending two sessions worth of summer classes and working out. Morgan even helped out at DePaul's first annual team camp in June.

Morgan has put his high school career at Palo Verde High School in Las Vegas, Nevada behind him and has focused on preparing for his freshman year at DePaul all summer long.

The 6-5, 180 lb. swingman is the son of former Indiana Hoosier great Winston Morgan. Moses averaged 20.8 points, 8.4 rebounds and two assists per game his senior season at Palo Verde.

The Panthers finished with a 21-4 record and were defeated by Bishop Gorman in the postseason for the second straight year, after losing to the same team in the state championship game in 2009.

On May 30th, Morgan scored 21 points for the victorious Sunset region team in the Las Vegas Area High School Senior All-Star Game.

Morgan comes to DePaul from the same ICan All-Stars AAU program that produced sophomore Tony Freeland and junior Krys Faber.

Along with point guard Brandon Young and combo forward Cleveland Melvin, Morgan and his fellow freshman hope to make an impact for DePaul in their first season.
